This is my entry to 's competition.
I chose David's childhood memory concerning Circe, the sorceress that deceived him later on in the story line.

Here, I tried to portray Circe as a simple young woman which is why I wanted her dressed commonly) that uses her magic to entertain David. She hands him a green crystal and conjures energy out of it while shaping it into foliage forms for his amusement.

My goal in this picture was to show the extend of naivity David had, being at that tender age, and maybe cast a slight doubt to the character of Circe, question wether she was so evil as to crush a sweet child's heart after bonding with him or if she did genuinely like the boy but her beliefs made her change her disposition towards him later on.

I have been working on this really hard and I know there are some flaws (doing the perspective in some parts almost killed me since I am not good at it) but nonetheless I had loads of fun making this. I've been wanting to recreate this scene since 's last contest. Hope you like it dude!
